"If you want the rainbow..."

Taken on Wednesday, December 30, 2015, these images join the multitude in capturing the aftermath of the enormous amounts of rain that came earlier in the week. The flood levels are being compared to the latest record from 1990. At the time that these images were captured the levels were recorded to be at about 281 feet and continuing to rise, expecting to reach roughly 283 feet by the peak. These images were taken surrounding the areas of Toad Suck and the Arkansas River. 

I know this is different than my normal posts and images, but part of capturing the world around you includes capturing things that are not always beautiful or desirable.
