A Searcy Christmas
One thing you should know about me is that I love Christmas lights just about as much as anything else! Anyone who has been with me at Harding over the last month has learned this very quickly. During Christmas time, the city of Searcy lights up in some of the most festive ways! My two favorite locations to view Searcy's festivities are Berryhill Park and, of course, Harding University.
At Harding, the festivities surround the Christmas lights, including carriage rides, hot chocolate, and an official lighting ceremony. For the three weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas these lights hang in the trees as another encouraging reminder to students to keep going!
Berryhill Park, a public park near campus, complete with larger-than-life replicas made of lights with centerpieces of a large light fountain and an interactive tree whose lights change colors and tempos to music.
Just as I received my first semester at Harding, I give you a warm welcome to A Searcy Christmas.
